I can't believe I'm writing about Copyright and Intellectual Property laws.  I can't believe there are people on this site that either do not understand CIP laws or simply ignore them.  Now, I'm not a lawyer (although that was my first area of interest before I obtained my B.F.A.), but honestly these laws and how they affect mass distribution which will profit an unauthorized entity are not that hard to absorb and apply intellectually. This brings me to my topic of what 'fan art' is and how it is defined.  Graphic Characters are just as protected under Copyright law as, say, that image on that stupid Twilight poster with the ugly English fel

Corey Haim. He died today. An asshole full of terrible poetry has been written in his honor. Seems appropriate.   Ian, I mourn with you.  Also, I need to see that compilation DVD. On a related issue, I wish people would stop writing poetry and posting it on various blogs that I happen to subscribe to.  I consider myself a fairly well-rounded individual and I don't mind the occasional dirty limerick, but this emo-crying-hippie-nature-feminine-embarssinngly cliche crap needs to stop and by G-d, it will stop with me.
